Pacific Northwest Ballet partnered with Pixvana to create an original VR ballet experience for its annual PNB Stars scholarship fundraiser. The goal was to use virtual reality to captivate devoted supporters, stir emotions, and encourage greater donor giving through a more intimate and immersive presentation of dance.

Pixvana created the five-minute VR piece “Silent Resonance,” capturing 8K footage with GoPro OMNI and enhancing the performance with a celestial 360-degree environment and layered visual effects. The experience debuted at the fundraiser to surprise and delight attendees, sparked discussion about VR in the arts, and, according to the case study, increased donor support compared with the previous year.
