The Vitamin Shoppe, founded in 1977, has grown into a large online retailer of vitamins, supplements and wellness products from over 700 brands. Facing a huge SKU catalog, the company needed more product ratings and reviews to help shoppers compare items, but its existing solution was complex and lacked easy in-email submission, so it sought a strategic partner to simplify and scale review collection.
Pixlee TurnTo implemented Open Review Syndication plus its Ratings & Reviews tools (including Inbox Submission and the “Do More” prompt), enabling brands to share reviews with no fees and letting customers submit reviews directly from email and mobile. The result: review coverage on more than 60% of SKUs, a 152% year‑over‑year increase in total reviews, a 58% rise in average native reviews collected, and 62% of submissions coming from mobile—supported by hands-on regulatory and account support.
