Foray Business Group, an online bookkeeping and payroll firm in Vancouver, Washington, was struggling with poor workflow visibility, lost emails and messages, unclear task handoffs across a distributed team, and blurred work–life boundaries. Spreadsheets and QuickBooks’ built‑in workflow couldn’t scale, so they evaluated alternatives and chose Pixie to centralize tasks and client communications.
Pixie was implemented across the team in about a month, turning emails into tasks, enabling client tasks with automated reminders, and giving clear visibility of who is working on what. As a result, Foray now has defined processes, clearer roles, better timeliness, and improved work‑life balance — most notably reducing month‑end financial reporting from the 20th–25th to the 8th–10th (two weeks faster) with Pixie’s workflow and automation.
