Darkrose Studios partnered with PixelPlex to turn the Treadwater comic book universe into an interactive game experience. Their challenge was to create a sci-fi/fantasy title that stayed true to the author’s brand while expanding the world for fans of the comics, with demos targeted for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One using Unreal Engine 4.

PixelPlex delivered a third-person game demo with multiple story arcs, modern combat, and a storyline driven by the user’s choices, featuring the comic series’ main character. The project was completed in 5 months, and the result helped bring the Treadwater universe to life for sci-fi and fantasy audiences while earning positive feedback from Darkrose Studios’ CEO, who praised PixelPlex’s creative problem-solving.
