IVADRONES, a France-based drone services provider, needed to digitize 50 telecom cell towers for a client and prove that drone-based inspection could scale reliably across a large network. The challenge was to create accurate digital twins quickly, help the client track tower installations and maintenance status, and support compliance with operator standards. With Pix4D, IVADRONES captured each tower in about 40 minutes, uploaded the data immediately, and processed it in the cloud while moving to the next site. PIX4Dinspect’s AI automatically recognized antennas and streamlined analysis, helping deliver results within hours and reducing on-site inspection work that could otherwise take up to 24 hours to just 1 hour. The successful proof of concept led to confirmed inspection contracts for 2022, demonstrating a scalable, time-saving solution from Pix4D for telecom tower inspections.
