Anez Consulting LLC worked with Pix4D to help a corn farm optimize seeding rates across its fields. The challenge was to quickly identify soil variability and create a more precise planting strategy when recent satellite imagery was outdated and unusable for the area.

Using Pix4Dmapper, Anez Consulting generated an up-to-date orthomosaic from drone imagery and fed it into a custom bare-earth analysis workflow. Pix4D’s solution helped create management zones and seeding-rate maps in about 15–20 minutes after orthomosaic generation, and the grower was so satisfied with the results that he expanded the approach to all of his corn fields in 2016, covering roughly 500 acres.
