The Vomela Companies needed to demonstrate their ability to create a full-color 3D printed rapid prototype, and turned to Pix4D for help. Using Pix4Dcapture and Pix4Dmapper, they generated a photorealistic 3D model of a church from drone imagery as the basis for their prototype.

Pix4D provided the photogrammetry workflow that let Vomela edit the mesh in Blender, optimize it for printing, and produce a full-color physical model on a Stratasys J750 3D printer. The result was a detailed rapid prototype that helped reduce modeling time, lower development costs, and improve communication and early-stage design review.
