West Coast Aerial Photography, Inc., a father-son aerial photography business based in Los Angeles, needed to create an up-to-date map of Manteca, California, from a very large survey area. They partnered with Pix4D and used Pix4Dmapper for aerial photogrammetry to process thousands of images captured from a Cessna aircraft.

Pix4D automated the processing of 2,532 images covering 566.6 square kilometers, generating an orthomosaic in about 24 hours. After minor cleanup in the Mosaic Editor, West Coast Aerial Photography delivered a completed map of the full Manteca region within two business days, significantly reducing the time and effort compared with traditional workflows.
