Case Study: AgroLab improves agricultural trial analysis with Pix4Dfields

AgroLab, a European agricultural research group, needed a faster and more reliable way to evaluate pesticide and treatment trials across its research sites. Working with Pix4D and its PIX4Dfields software, the team used drone-based RGB and NIR imagery to analyze trial plots, assess crop health, and support GEP/GLP-style agricultural research.

Pix4D implemented a workflow combining a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2, a Sentera sensor, PIX4Dcapture, QGIS, and PIX4Dfields to process multispectral data and compare treated versus control plots. The solution let AgroLab analyze around 500 m² per trial, process each trial in about 10 minutes, and map 30,000 images over the season, helping the team deliver faster, more accurate results to clients while reducing labor and avoiding repeat flights.
