SimpleSite, a Denmark-based tech company that helps more than 160,000 websites start up each month, struggled with Google Analytics’ sampled, aggregated and slow data exports that prevented session- and user-level modeling and left them dependent on third-party exporters. They needed unsampled raw data, faster automatic exports to BigQuery and Power BI, a migration from Google Analytics/Tag Manager, and stronger data control and privacy — so they evaluated and engaged Piwik PRO.

Piwik PRO delivered its Analytics Suite, Tag Manager and Customer Data Platform, migrated SimpleSite’s setup, and built a custom raw-data exporter via the platform’s APIs; daily the system sends around 200,000 unsampled rows (about 6 million sessions/month) into BigQuery and Power BI. The Piwik PRO implementation enabled a new bid-management system that improved ROI on daily ad spend by up to 20%, reduced maintenance and operational risk, and gave SimpleSite reliable, first‑party control of their analytics and better privacy.
