DKMS, an international non-profit that finds donors for bone marrow and stem cell transplants, needed GDPR‑compliant analytics during a global website relaunch after a compliance audit showed Google Analytics didn’t meet their privacy requirements. Working with agency AdUnique, DKMS chose Piwik PRO (Piwik PRO Analytics Suite and Consent Manager) to ensure data protection while supporting donor registration optimization and campaign measurement.
Piwik PRO implemented a standardized, privacy-first setup across all DKMS sites—using Consent Manager, Tag Manager, data-layer–based advanced funnel reporting and UTM/campaign identifiers instead of third‑party pixels—so teams could analyze single‑page registration forms and campaign performance. That implementation enabled DKMS to pinpoint a problematic age question and improve US form wording, driving a 3% uplift in conversions, improved cross‑entity funnel comparisons and micro‑conversion tracking, and ongoing support from Piwik PRO.
