Piwik PRO implemented custom variables and about 1,000 segments, a heartbeat timer for accurate visit duration, custom-event feedback forms, metasites for aggregated COVID reporting, and quickly scaled data collection to handle several million visits per day. As a result, the Transportation department of Netherlands Government optimized content more effectively, adopted a more data-driven editorial process, provided weekly leadership reporting, and ensured data stayed secure and privacy-compliant while analytics ran smoothly during peak demand.
