Custom and seamlessly integrated intranet analytics system for the Government of Canada

The Government of Canada, through Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and the Canadian Coast Guard, needed a secure, high-performance analytics solution for intranet and public websites that could be customized, integrated with their Single Sign‑On and give the department full control over data and user privacy. They engaged Piwik PRO to provide an analytics platform and professional services to meet these requirements.

Piwik PRO implemented a custom SSO authentication plugin, User Groups and a White Label theme to embed analytics seamlessly into DFO’s environment, enforce role-based access via central accounts, and enable IP anonymization and on‑premises data control. The deployment removed manual user management through automatic provisioning and role updates, delivered a unified look-and-feel, met privacy/compliance needs, and was delivered on time and on budget by Piwik PRO.
