ZaloPay, a mobile payment application from VNG Corporation with over 100 million users, faced significant infrastructure challenges as its business rapidly expanded. PingCAP's TiDB, a NewSQL database supporting Hybrid Transactional/Analytical Processing (HTAP), was implemented as ZaloPay's core database.
