ZTO Express, a leading logistics and express delivery company in China, needed a database that could handle explosive data growth, real-time analytics, strong consistency, and highly concurrent writes. Its Oracle Exadata environment hit storage and scalability limits, and sharding, HBase, and Kudu could not support the company’s need for minute-level, multi-dimensional reporting.
