Truist Turns to PingOne to Update Its Secure SSO Solution

Truist, a provider of philanthropic solutions to more than 350 corporate and nonprofit clients running 1,700+ campaigns annually, needed to modernize its single sign‑on (SSO) after years using on‑premises PingFederate. To improve redundancy, availability and security while reducing IT overhead for a service that handles roughly 4,000–5,000 logins per day, Truist decided to move to a cloud‑based SSO model.

Truist implemented PingOne Application Provider Services, a standards‑based IDaaS that supports SAML 2.0, OAuth, OpenID, SCIM and multifactor authentication, enabling rapid client onboarding and centralized control. The cloud solution doubled the number of clients using Ping Identity, sustained ~4,000 daily logins, cut onboarding time and IT resource requirements, and improved client satisfaction and service availability.
