GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is a science-led global healthcare company operating in more than 150 countries. As its business and technology needs grew, GSK faced the challenge of securing many systems and custom applications while preserving a simple, familiar experience for employees—requiring a multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO) solution that was easy to maintain and based on open standards to remain agile as protocols evolve.

GSK selected Ping Identity and PingID, a standards-based MFA/SSO solution, and piloted it with 100 users before a phased rollout across internal apps and SaaS platforms like Office 365 and Workday.
