A Ping Identity Case Study
Griffith University, a public research university in South East Queensland with over 50,000 staff and students across multiple campuses, needed a centralized, standards‑based authentication service. The identity team faced inconsistent, bespoke integrations for each application and slow onboarding of cloud services, and required strong vendor support for a solution placed in front of heavily used enterprise apps.
The university selected the Ping Identity Platform (PingFederate) to provide secure single sign‑on, provisioning and standards‑based integration with existing systems like PeopleSoft and Blackboard. As a result, users now sign in once a day to access all services, the support burden has decreased, and the team has integrated over 500 applications—accelerating app rollout and reducing development time.
