DB Schenker Innovates by Consolidating Workforce & Customer Identity Management

DB Schenker, a global logistics leader, needed a more secure and modern authentication service to streamline access for both employees and customers while supporting protocols like SAML, OpenID Connect, MFA, SCIM, and RADIUS. The company also wanted a single, customizable identity experience that could fit different user types and work alongside its existing Azure AD environment.

Ping Identity, implemented with help from iC Consult, delivered a centralized identity and access management platform for DB Schenker with a “Schenkerized” user interface, customer MFA, and support for multiple verification methods. The rollout improved security and scalability, enabled risk-based authentication, and reduced integration time to 30 minutes — a 75% decrease in effort — while also supporting RADIUS authentication and stronger remote access during COVID-19.
