Box Chooses Ping SSO for its Cloud- based Content Management and Collaboration Solution

Box, a cloud content-management and collaboration provider used by millions and many enterprise customers, faced a scaling challenge as larger organizations adopted its service. To support customers with hundreds or thousands of users, Box needed a fast, affordable way to provide centralized user management and single sign-on that integrated with corporate directories so IT could provision and revoke access across cloud apps easily.

Box chose Ping Identity’s PingFederate via its SaaS Partner Program, avoiding heavy R&D by using a standards-based SSO solution that fits diverse customer environments. The deployment gave customers centralized control over who accesses content, streamlined add/disable and offboarding processes, and proved quick to set up (about 30 minutes for existing Ping customers, under two hours for first-time users) while supporting future federated identity needs.
