PHOENIX Pharmahandel GmbH & Co. KG (PHOENIX), a leading pharmaceutical distributor in Germany, needed to replace an XML-based web-to-print system for pharmacies that was hard to edit, error-prone and slow. Solution partner Quellwerke implemented the project on the Pimcore platform (DXP/CMS, DAM) to modernize the flyer/poster ordering and template management workflow.

Quellwerke delivered an HTML/CSS template engine, a Pimcore-integrated drag-and-drop visual template editor (with jQuery UI) and PDFreactor for high-quality, high-performance PDF rendering, while simplifying customer-facing options. As a result, PHOENIX employees can now edit templates visually without manual file changes, customers produce fewer customization errors, and overall printing preparation effort and system performance have been substantially reduced.
