Viani eCommerce platform wins "Most Innovative Shop"

Antonio Viani Importe GmbH is a German gourmet-food importer founded in 1973 that sells over 2,500 authentic Italian specialties to B2B customers and consumers. Facing a market dominated by large players, growing online competition and the need to appeal to both retailers and end customers, Viani set out to create a new brand identity and relaunch its commerce across catalog, retail and a brand shop for B2B and B2C.

Working with Pimcore partner blackbit, Viani implemented an integrated Pimcore-based PIM/MDM and eCommerce platform that centralised product data, content and assets and added tailored B2B/B2C features (separate pricing, payment options, B2B full-pack ordering vs. single-item consumer sales and database-driven catalogs). The relaunch improved editorial workflows and user experience, cut data errors via centralized maintenance and delivered strong business results: website visibility +41.62%, monthly visitors +41.19%, sales +8.89%, and the store won “Most Innovative Shop” at the 2016 Shop Usability Awards.
