Vespa Configurator for the Italian Lifestyle Icon

Digital agency Cando built a Pimcore-based configurator for Vespa Switzerland to move the buying experience from printed dealer catalogs to an inspiring, intuitive online shop. The challenge was to recreate the tactile, lifestyle-driven purchase journey digitally and remove the confusion customers faced when choosing models, equipment and accessories in person.

The solution used a headless Pimcore backend with DataHub (GraphQL) feeding an Angular frontend, high‑quality photo shoots (not 3D renders), and configuration logic implemented directly in Pimcore to manage 21,606 possible combinations. The integrated PIM/CMS/DAM/e‑commerce platform gives content managers flexible landing pages and a seamless commerce experience; results included rapid online orders (offsetting much on‑site sales during COVID), faster time‑to‑market and easy purchase flows with home delivery or dealer pickup.
