Unified product catalog for SPAR Middle Volga Holding

SPAR Middle Volga, the Russian division of the grocery retailer group (including SPAR retail, Sweet Life wholesale, and Sweet Life Food Service for HoReCa), faced duplicate work and inconsistent product cards because each company used its own catalog system and templates. Management commissioned a unified product catalog to eliminate overlap and streamline product data across the holding.

Odyssey Consulting Group implemented Pimcore as the master PIM/MDM, adding supplier portals, automated duplicate detection, certificate validation reports and image‑quality checks to speed onboarding and reduce manual work. Launched commercially in June 2021, the solution now supports 80+ users, 10 suppliers and over 260,000 SKUs, significantly cutting duplicate data and improving catalog governance.
