Krombacher Brauerei, Germany’s largest privately owned brewery (≈7 million hl annual output, ~€862M turnover), needed a white‑label e‑commerce solution that would replace its existing store and integrate seamlessly into its digital brand platform. The project required connection to payment and fulfillment partners (e.g., Arvato) and a post‑launch program of search engine and social media advertising to improve visibility and performance.
Basilicom built the Krombacher fan shop on Pimcore’s e‑commerce framework, leveraging an existing white‑label CMS/design system, PIM and DAM, and integrating payment, fulfillment and comprehensive tracking for performance marketing. The result: a seamless, brand‑embedded shop that became a genuine brand asset and profit center—online sales rose by more than 60% in the first year and the store achieved a conversion rate of about 7%, backed by successful SEA and SMA campaigns.
