Spaeter AG, one of Switzerland’s leading trading companies for construction, steel, and building services, wanted to let customers access pick-up shop products around the clock and find items quickly even when no staff were present. The challenge was enabling 24/7 shop access while handling customer authentication, order processing, and fast product location. Spaeter used Pimcore PIM/MDM as part of the solution.

Pimcore and valantic implemented an augmented shop navigation experience in the Spaeter app, with check-in, shopping-cart preselection, scan-based item adding, and integrated payment. The system uses an indoor pathfinding map covering about 40 shelves and locked zones, guiding customers to products via AR arrows and coordinates. The result was a smoother self-service shopping experience, with faster navigation and a scalable foundation for future pick-up shops.
