Gemini Polska (Apteka Gemini), a nationwide pharmacy chain with 183 locations and 3,000 employees, teamed with Divante to respond to Poland’s 2020 e‑prescription rollout and pandemic‑driven demand for safer, remote access to medicines. The challenge was to give patients and pharmacists a simple way to check medicine availability, book prescriptions using PESEL codes, and streamline pharmacy workflows across a large product catalog.

The partners built a progressive web app integrated with Pimcore PIM and the national e‑prescription system, using a Vue.js frontend, Pimcore backend, AJAX for faster page loads, and a microservices architecture on Kubernetes for scalability and security. Launched in Q2 2020 as the Recepta Gemini app (now in Google Play), the solution shortened time‑to‑market by 30%, increased website traffic by 45%, and made nationwide medicine search and booking faster and easier for users.
