Contorion is an online retailer for industrial and trade supplies offering over 200,000 products across many categories. To deliver a superior customer experience for both B2B and B2C buyers, the company needed to consolidate product data from multiple sources, departments and 500 suppliers and improve the quality and consistency of its product descriptions while simplifying internal processes.

Contorion implemented Pimcore’s PIM/MDM (with Basilicom as partner) to centralize data from the shop system, front-end, asset storage and ERP, aggregate supplier inputs, and control which data sources populate product descriptions. The result is high-quality, consistent and up-to-date product information with traceable origins, faster internal workflows and a scalable foundation for growing its digital retail business.
