Product Data and Digital Assets Consolidation Improves Creation of Multilingual Printable Materials

IVELA, a Milan‑based OEM lighting manufacturer (including its ARIA architectural division), needed to centralize product information and digital assets to better support customized indoor/outdoor lighting products. The company faced fragmented data from multiple sources, inefficient multilingual translation workflows, poor sharing between departments—especially sales—and slow, error‑prone production of printable documentation and approvals.

GMD implemented a Pimcore PIM with an integrated DAM, importing and tagging the full file system, building a product data model, and configuring user roles and interfaces. A PIM–InDesign integration reconciles products with assets and feeds layouts via a plugin, cutting copy/paste errors and production time. The result: consolidated product and asset management, streamlined multilingual print production across markets, reduced downtime and redundancy, and improved overall work quality.
