Product configurator lets restaurant appeal to the senses of guests

Sausalitos, a German restaurant chain with 41 locations known for craft cocktails and a relaxed social atmosphere, wanted a way to let guests create personalized drinks and share them on social media to boost engagement and brand presence. The challenge was to deliver a fast, mobile-first experience that showcased taste and appearance while supporting endless ingredient combinations.

Creating-web built a mobile-optimized web app with a Pimcore 5 backend and a React front end, featuring 15 spirits, 7 syrups, 8 garnishes and 13 mixers, editable ingredients, custom animations and mobile video sequences. The “cocktail creator” turned into a playful digital experience that delights tech-savvy patrons and increased Sausalitos’ social media visibility and guest engagement.
