Gabor Shoes AG, a family-run German maker of high-quality women’s shoes with 280,000 products sold in 60+ countries (about 1,000 daily orders and 350,000 monthly customers), needed to relaunch its marketplace-style online shop. The key challenge was to consolidate 70 retailers and two payment providers into a single platform, improve the online shopping experience and personalization, and ensure a smooth migration from the legacy system.
In eight months Salzburg agency elements implemented a Pimcore-based commerce and experience platform—combining DXP/CMS, central data management and single-source multi-channel publishing—to deliver personalized, consistent digital experiences. The relaunch migrated all retailers, produced a faster, more stable and secure shop, increased conversion and customer satisfaction (and reduced return rates), and simplified content and commerce management ahead of peak events like Black Friday.
