Ordering and management platform for consumables and spare parts for marking printers

cab, a 40‑year veteran in labelling solutions, produces printers, dispensers, lasers and the matching labels and thermal ribbons for industrial use. Reordering consumables and spare parts had been slow, error‑prone and phone/email based, complicated by thousands of similar SKUs that only fit certain printers and by complex customer- and product-specific pricing rules.

The company implemented a Pimcore‑based product information system with a CoreShop B2B storefront and ERP integration: customers select their printer in a configurator, see only compatible consumables with availability indicators and receive automatically calculated prices (accounting for discounts and unit‑based packaging). The result: faster, less error‑prone ordering, direct ERP order processing, time saved on data maintenance, reduced duplicate data and increased website traffic.
