Online shop for 40 farms brings farmers closer to their customers

Gröna gårdar, a cooperative selling organic meat from about 40 farms, needed an online shop that could bridge farmers and customers while handling complex food‑industry logistics. Their requirements — including weekly stock management, refrigerated transport and specific warehousing workflows — proved difficult to meet with standard eCommerce platforms.

The team built a custom solution on Pimcore (DXP/CMS, PIM/MDM, DAM) with an AngularJS frontend, using Pimcore data object classes to tailor the platform to food‑specific processes. The result is a fit‑for‑purpose webshop that supports cold‑chain logistics and weekly stock cycles, brings farmers closer to consumers, and will be iteratively improved through a long‑term collaboration.
