Luxury vehicle maker automates dealership furnishing with B2B shop

AUDI AG, a global premium carmaker with around 90,000 employees and 3,000 dealerships worldwide, faced inconsistent showroom outfitting due to fragmented product data and a manual, error‑prone ordering process. Dealers downloaded, printed and faxed long order forms, causing transcription errors, delays and heavy back‑and‑forth between dealers, suppliers and Audi’s central office. Audi needed centralized product data management and automation to ensure CI/CD consistency and streamline orders.

Working with Pimcore partners incoxx and Elements, Audi launched a fully automated B2B order portal in under a year. The Pimcore solution provides a single source of truth with country‑specific catalogs, automatic supplier routing by location, XML order feeds, preconfigured packages, a 3D product configurator and printer‑ready output — all with tailored user roles. The portal eliminated faxed orders, reduced manual data work, sped time to market and simplified ordering for dealers while delivering structured, machine‑readable orders to suppliers.
