Corsair, founded in 1994, is a leading provider of high-performance PC components that launched the Hydro X water-cooling segment and a custom cooling configurator. To support this expansion they needed to centralize a massive product ecosystem—thousands of SKUs across GPUs, CPUs, motherboards, cases—while unifying inventory, pricing, translations and improving the online shopping experience to drive sales.
With implementation by Optiweb, Pimcore PIM/MDM became the single source of truth, managing 5,962 product elements (including 188 CPUs, 246 cases, 930 motherboards and 1,249 graphics cards) and enabling 20,116,841,142 compatibility combinations and 1,105,920 cooling system combinations. The result was optimized data storage, automated compatibility checks and richer product content, a better customer experience, increased sales, and immediate traction—32,000 configurator combinations in the first 24 hours—and future use of the same database by resellers.
