Integrated management of mass distribution products information

Agora Network — a consortium that buys for four mass-distribution brands (Tigros, Basko, Poli, Iperal) and operates over 200 stores in Northern Italy — faced fragmented product management: each partner used its own CMS, creating duplicated entries, heavy maintenance, poor scalability and time‑consuming custom exports as the group grew. This distributed approach made it difficult to consolidate product and media assets or to support additional data and workflows across the five companies.

Working with Digitelematica, Agora implemented a Pimcore-based PIM/MDM and DAM to centralize tens of thousands of product records and media into one platform with role-based workspaces, a custom search, workflow-driven approvals and a leaflet manager, plus integrations (Brandbank/Immagino) and mass import interfaces. The result was consolidated product lifecycle management, lower costs for product coding and photography, faster marketing exports, reduced employee workload and training, and a flexible foundation for sharing data across partners and delivering feeds to e‑commerce sites and in‑store channels.
