IG BCE BWS, the training arm of Germany’s industrial union for mining, chemicals and energy, is the leading provider of advanced education for employee representatives. It needed to present a complex, wide-ranging schedule of over 1,500 courses to a narrow, diverse audience while integrating its Navision ERP with a modern web environment, centralizing product and media data, offering flexible CMS content elements, and streamlining bookings.

polargold implemented Pimcore with a bidirectional gateway to Navision, using PIM as the single source of truth and DAM for media, plus an eCommerce-enabled, persona-aware booking flow (distinguishing participants and contact persons) and advanced, combinable search filters. Courses are now auto-imported and maintained in Pimcore, cutting maintenance effort, reducing duplicate data, shortening time to market, enabling consistent user journeys and printable exports for third parties, and delivering the first major milestone within six months.
