How Stanley Black & Decker France created a single point of data management

Stanley Black & Decker France, the French arm of the global tooling leader managing some 200,000 products across 5 locations, needed a single, reliable way to handle product data for brands like Stanley, DeWalt and Facom. Teams struggled with multiple systems (SAP, Hybris, CMS, datalake), manual Excel transformations to meet industry standards (ETIM/FabDis), duplicated entries and slow time to market, so the company sought an internal PIM/MDM to centralize and normalize all product information.

Working with DATASOLUTION, they implemented Pimcore as a single point of truth: a flexible product model ingests SAP and Hybris feeds, groups attributes with Classification Stores, supports Process Manager tasks, PDF datasheets and a data-completion workflow. Launched after six months (Oct 2020), the platform initialized 53,700 technical attributes across 6,800+ groups and now serves about 215,000 SKUs, cutting duplicate data, speeding time to market and lowering total cost of ownership while planning further integration with the corporate DAM.
