Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, a global provider of printing services and software, was managing products across multiple international locations and three SAP ERP systems. This fragmented setup forced duplicate data entry, inconsistent product information, limited media and specification enrichment, and difficulty synchronizing assortments across markets and their Magento webshop.

Working with Youwe, Heidelberg deployed Pimcore as a central PIM/MDM and DAM repository. All product data — enriched with images, videos and spec sheets — are consolidated under a single “Heidelberg‑number” SKU, enabling central updates, preventing Magento duplicates, supporting location- and language-specific properties, and simplifying assortment and marketing management. The result: consistent, efficient product data flow from ERP to e‑commerce, time savings and better focus on strategic initiatives.
