Sono Group AS is the leading Scandinavian supplier of storage, industrial, office and school furniture, offering 190,000 products across Norway, Sweden and Denmark (80 MIO EUR turnover, 220 employees). Facing Magento 1’s end-of-life and rising customer expectations for online buying, Sono needed a full Magento 2 rewrite to support complex product configurations, advanced B2B features, a React checkout, and faster APIs/search (GraphQL, Elasticsearch), while centralizing product data across multiple countries and storefronts.

e-reactor implemented Pimcore (PIM/MDM + DAM) as a single source of truth: automated ERP imports, tailored SKU/image matching, Excel-based brand manager imports, and exports to five Magento 2 sites, online and printed catalogs. Updates propagate via RabbitMQ or batch jobs, enabling streamlined management across three countries and languages, reducing duplicate data, improving product data consistency, and strengthening the brand’s online reliability.
