Digital experience platform with shop and PIM replaces TYPO3 website

iwis, a global technology leader in high-precision chain drive systems for automotive and industrial applications, faced a fragmented digital landscape: a Magento shop, a TYPO3 website and SAP back-end. Their goal was to consolidate content and product data under Pimcore as CMS and PIM — and DGTLS recommended extending Pimcore to replace the shop as well, simplifying the IT landscape and reducing interfaces.

DGTLS implemented Pimcore as PIM/CMS and CoreShop for e‑commerce, built SAP interfaces to sync customers, prices, inventory and orders, and redesigned the site around customer needs with a modern look. Key features include a ChainFinder for filtered product discovery (covering purchasable and non‑saleable items), VAT ID validation for B2B signup, news, trade-fair and sales‑org search modules, and a careers portal linked to HR4YOU — delivering a unified platform that improves findability, brand presentation and reduces content‑management effort.
