Creation of Assembly, Installation and Maintenance Manuals for HI-Tech Industrial Machines for Washing Large Glazed Surfaces

Triulzi Glass Process, an Italian manufacturer of hi‑tech machines for washing large glazed surfaces (including a solar‑panel division), needed to modernize how it creates and manages assembly, installation and maintenance documentation. Technical drawings, specs, photos and assembly steps were scattered in text files on designers’ PCs, required translation into English for global customers, and needed a centralized, collaborative repository to support handover during a generational management transition.

GMDE implemented a Pimcore PIM/DAM solution with a structured machine data model, a smartphone app for technicians to upload assembly photos and captions directly into the system, and web2print exports for quick manual generation. Planned integrations include Adobe InDesign for catalogues and future website tracking; the project is currently reorganizing material, and once standard web2print templates are approved Triulzi will quantify the real time savings in producing standardized manuals.
