Consumer Electronics Retailer Sells on Digital Experience Platform

Expert is a purchasing cooperative of electrical retailers with 180 locations across Austria, bringing together about 170 independent companies with heterogeneous systems. To stay competitive against large sales portals while preserving regional value, Expert needed a unified omnichannel B2C shop that would centrally manage goods, payments and services and enable local member participation (on‑site pickup, assembly and consultation).

Using Pimcore (DXP/CMS, PIM/MDM, Digital Commerce, DAM), Elements built a responsive multi‑channel commerce platform that combines the online shop with local partner sites and a B2B portal for dealers. The consolidated platform became the single source of truth for product data, media and websites, made dealer ordering and returns the primary channel, and improved time‑to‑market for product data by 200%, enabling a full omnichannel strategy and earning the project Austria’s Retail Innovation Award.
