A Pimcore Case Study
Capgemini, a global consulting leader with over 190,000 employees, needed to give attendees at CeBIT 2017 a personalized way to find partner booths. Attendees lacked visual directions and the existing third‑party registration system did not provide confirmation emails, so Capgemini required automatically generated, language‑specific hall maps and emails based on registration data.
Working with pimcore partner Intera, they built a pimcore solution that pulled and enriched registration data via a REST interface, generated multi‑layered, cached hall maps with highlighted partner booths and directions, and sent automated multilingual HTML emails. The result: attendees could easily locate relevant partners at the expo, Capgemini benefited from improved branding and client information, and the pimcore foundation lets the solution be extended for future events and APIs.
