W.EG (Wirth Electrical Wholesale), a global leader in wholesale distribution of electrical material, needed to unify product data across nine companies in six Eastern European countries. Facing up to 1,000,000 items per company, seven languages, ETIM classification and inconsistent data standards, the group sought a centralized PIM to enable cost optimisation, governance, stability and growth.

Divante delivered a three-stage Pimcore-based program (Proof of Concept, developers backlog, implementation) that favoured configuration over custom code and used ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Apache NiFi, Docker/Kubernetes, test automation and configurable importers to enable seamless data exchange across four Pimcore instances. The result is a unified PIM managing 4 million products across nine companies and seven languages, streamlining workflows and ensuring reliable, scalable information flow.
