Avira Launches Its Digital Content Strategy with Pimcore

Avira, a German security-software company with 500+ employees and over 240 million users, needed a flexible, scalable central hub to manage corporate and product content (including external sources), support editor workflows across departments, deliver personalized communications, and ensure brand-consistent content for global audiences with 24/7 high performance. The brief called for a future-proof platform with PIM, DAM, MDM and DXP/CMS capabilities and single-source publishing to serve international customers with tailored experiences.

Pimcore was implemented as a central content hub (DXP/CMS, PIM, DAM, MDM) delivering structured Content-as-a-Service via APIs, integrated targeting/personalization, and an editor-friendly workflow. Hosted on AWS (CloudFront, Aurora RDS, ElastiCache/Redis, ECS, Docker), the solution now powers Avira’s main site, campaign pages and OEM microsite, serves millions monthly, enables 25+ international editors to create landing pages and campaigns faster, increased overall conversion, and reduced time-to-market for campaigns by more than 30%.
