A print product becomes a digital event platform

Woche‑Pass AG, a regional media house founded in 1975, faced declining print revenues and the need to future‑proof its core product. With support from solution partner w‑vision AG, the company set out to turn its marketing site and print insertion tool into a digital event platform and SaaS service, transform its business model (including white‑label and multi‑channel upselling), and digitize processes across the organization.

Using Pimcore (DXP/CMS, PIM/MDM, DAM) and a Vue.js front end, the team ran user interviews, built a prototype, and developed the portal iteratively with Scrum. The result is a high‑quality event portal and integrated customer portal that improved UX, enabled rapid feature changes via a flexible data model and API separation, and delivered measurable gains: monthly users nearly doubled, retention rose, churn fell, and platform engagement and development velocity increased.
