Sky Deutschland AG, the leading pay TV company in Germany and Austria, wanted to respond to growing demand for video on multiple devices while keeping ahead of competition and limiting management and operational overhead. To launch its multiscreen service, Sky Go, it selected Piksel as its technology partner.

Piksel implemented the Piksel VCMS platform with Piksel Guard DRM and the Piksel VCMS Player SDK to support Sky Go across the web, iOS devices, Xbox 360, and other connected devices. The service expanded to include streaming linear channels and social media integration, and it achieved over fifteen million unique viewer sessions in the first quarter of 2013 alone.
