Marshalls PLC, a global leader in hard landscaping manufacturing, faced the challenge of helping customers visualize and plan paving projects for their new Modal range. They partnered with tech vendor Pikcells to develop web-based solutions that would allow contractors and urban planners to see realistic previews and reduce the need for physical samples.

Pikcells developed an interactive WebGL pavement planner and an innovative Outdoor Reality app that uses augmented reality for true-to-life visualisation. The solution included a scalable 3D asset library of over 1200 scanned paving products. This allowed Marshalls to significantly reduce sample waste and costs while improving customer service. The project was a success, with Pikcells' app winning prestigious awards for its groundbreaking mixed reality innovation.
