Picus Assists “Purple Teaming Practices” for the Leading Mobile Operator

Turkcell, a leading digital operator serving nearly 50 million customers, faced a rapidly expanding attack surface across a large, complex telecom and IT estate and needed a way to measure and maintain the defensive effectiveness of many security technologies and teams. To address this, Turkcell turned to Picus Security and its Picus Continuous Security Validation Solution — including the Threat Library, Mitigation Library and Emulation Module for network, endpoint and email assessments — to support purple teaming and ongoing readiness measurement.

Picus Security deployed continuous, threat-centric emulations (daily-updated threat samples) to test Turkcell’s controls, correlate findings with vulnerability scans, and recommend technology-specific mitigations. The result was continuous threat readiness monitoring, better-aligned IT SecOps, SOC and offensive teams through purple-team exercises, and streamlined patch management with prioritized mitigation rules — enabling data-driven remediation and faster detection and response.
